TikTok Unveils New AI Label Capable of Detecting External AI

As AI-generated content becomes increasingly difficult to distinguish from human-made, platforms like TikTok are enhancing transparency. TikTok will now label AI-generated content from other platforms, such as OpenAI's DALL·E 3, with an ‘AI-generated’ tag to inform viewers about its nature. However, challenges persist in accurately detecting AI content and ensuring acceptance without stifling creativity. TikTok will employ ‘Content Credentials’, a technology developed by tech giants such as Microsoft and Adobe. This enables them to automatically recognize and label AI-generated content, ensuring users receive instant clarity (see TikTok’s announcement).

OpenAI Introduces Ethical Guidance Framework

OpenAI has introduced a pioneering initiative called Model Spec, setting the stage for future AI tools to operate with enhanced ethical guidance.
