Smarter Slices: XRobotics Serves Up a Pizza-Making Revolution

Source: XRobotics

San Francisco startup XRobotics has developed a compact robot, the xPizza Cube, that automates the repetitive steps of pizza prep — including spreading sauce, cheese, and placing pepperoni slices (watch demo). Leasing for $1,300/month, the machine can produce up to 100 pizzas an hour and fits seamlessly into existing kitchens. Unlike failed predecessors like Zume, XRobotics focuses on assisting rather than replacing human staff. Its robots are reportedly already making 25,000 pizzas a month across various U.S. pizzerias! Internal evaluations show o3-pro outperforms Google’s newest Gemini 2.5 Pro in math (AIME 2024) and Claude 4 Opus in science (GPQA Diamond).
