Tesla Revives Dojo for Space-Based AI!

Source: SpaceX (Musk-led company)

CEO Elon Musk says Tesla is restarting work on Dojo3 — a previously shelved third-generation AI chip — but this time it will be dedicated to “space-based AI compute,” not training self-driving systems on Earth. The move comes just five months after Tesla disbanded the Dojo team, and Musk is now publicly recruiting engineers to rebuild it. He says the decision is tied to progress on Tesla’s in-house chip roadmap, with AI7/Dojo3 positioned as a long-term bet (see Musk’s announcement here and here).

ChatGPT Gets Smarter About Age and Stricter With Minors

Source: OpenAI

OpenAI has introduced an “age prediction” feature in ChatGPT designed to identify minors and automatically apply stricter content filters. The feature is rolling out in the U.S. now, with the EU expected to follow in the coming weeks. The system looks at behavioral and account-level signals such as stated age, how long an account has existed, and typical activity times. If someone is wrongly flagged as under 18, they can verify their age by submitting a selfie through OpenAI’s identity partner, Persona (see OpenAI’s announcement).

The company is moving away from VR apps like Horizon Worlds and fitness platform Supernatural, shifting focus instead to AI and AR products, including Ray-Ban smart glasses. Meta’s VR efforts struggled with low adoption, declining headset sales, and safety concerns, making the massive investment increasingly unsustainable (read more).
