Casio’s new AI-enabled robotic pet, Moflin, promises companionship without the mess or the vet bills. The palm-sized puffball uses artificial intelligence to learn from interactions, gradually developing emotional responses — and, over a few weeks, even forming a distinct personality while recognising its owner’s voice. While its lifelike movements and gentle sounds may make it endearing for some, reviewers question whether the always-listening pet raises privacy concerns. AI Logistics Run the Office So You Don’t Have To

Codi, an Andreessen Horowitz–backed startup, has launched what it calls the first AI-powered platform to fully automate office management. Once a flexible office space marketplace, Codi has evolved into a SaaS tool that handles everything from tech management and cleaning to pantry restocking and furnishing. Within five weeks of its beta launch, Codi reached $100,000 in annual recurring revenue and signed clients like TaskRabbit. By automating vendor coordination and routine tasks, it turns hands-on office management into an outsourced, AI-orchestrated service.

OpenAI Enters the Browser Wars

OpenAI has unveiled ChatGPT Atlas, its first AI-powered web browser, marking a bold move to challenge Google’s dominance in online search. The browser integrates ChatGPT directly into the browsing experience, allowing users to chat with their search results and interact with on-screen content via a built-in side panel. Atlas will first launch on macOS for all free users, with Windows, iOS, and Android versions coming soon. A premium “agent mode” will let Plus, Pro, and Business users automate web tasks directly in the browser.

⚖️ Cloudflare Calls Out Google’s AI Advantage: Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince says Google’s use of its search crawler to train AI models gives it a major edge in the AI race. Speaking in London, he explained that because websites must stay open to Google’s crawler to remain visible in search, the company can freely use that same data to train its AI — while other AI firms have to pay for data (watch the interview).
