In a recent interview, Bret Taylor, board chair at OpenAI and CEO of Sierra, compared today’s AI boom to the dot-com bubble of the late ’90s. He agreed with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman’s view that while AI will create massive long-term economic value, many investors are likely to lose significant amounts of money along the way. Taylor emphasized that both a bubble and a technological revolution can exist at the same time (see the full interview).
YouTube Rolls Out Multi-Language Audio

Source: YouTube Blog
YouTube has officially launched its multi-language audio feature after a two-year pilot, giving millions of creators the ability to dub their videos in different languages. The tool, powered by Google’s Gemini technology, can replicate a creator’s tone and emotions for more natural-sounding translations. Early testers like Jamie Oliver saw major results, with his channel tripling in views thanks to multi-language audio. The rollout will expand globally in the coming weeks, alongside tests of localized thumbnails for international audiences (see YouTube’s announcement).
Solving AI’s Reproducibility Problem

Source: Thinking Machines Lab
Mira Murati, former CTO of OpenAI, launched Thinking Machines Lab in February. Its first public move is Connectionism, a research blog founded on the idea that “science is better when shared.” The debut post tackles AI’s tendency to produce different answers to the same prompt, pointing to GPU kernel orchestration as a potential root cause. By controlling it, the lab aims to make outputs more reproducible — a key advantage for reinforcement learning and enterprise use (see official announcement).
