The model posted a record-breaking 37.5 on the Humanity’s Last Exam benchmark, surpassing GPT-5 Pro’s previous high of 31.6. A research-intensive variant, Gemini 3 Deep Think, will roll out to Google AI Ultra subscribers after additional safety testing. The launch also introduced Antigravity, a new coding interface blending chat, terminal, and browser views for agentic development (see announcement).

The trend continued into 2025: through the first nine months, revenue is estimated at around $4.33 billion, while compute expenses surged to roughly $8.65 billion. Taken together, these figures suggest that OpenAI may be spending far more on running its models than it brings in — a dynamic that raises questions about long-term sustainability and scale (read more).
