Anthropic’s Revenue Rocket Isn’t Slowing Down

Anthropic is reportedly projecting as much as $70 billion in revenue and $17 billion in cash flow by 2028, driven by rapid adoption of its business-focused AI products. The company expects $3.8 billion in API revenue this year and is on track for $9 billion in ARR by the end of 2025, with up to $26 billion targeted for 2026. AI Becomes Shopify’s Core Engine

Shopify, the e-commerce platform powering millions of online stores, says AI isn’t just an add-on—it’s now central to everything the company builds. During its Q3 earnings call, leadership revealed that traffic from AI tools to Shopify stores is up 7x since January, with purchases from AI-powered search rising 11x. The company highlighted its expanding partnerships with OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, and Perplexity as pivotal drivers of this shift. According to president Harley Finkelstein, these efforts are laying the groundwork for what Shopify calls “agentic commerce” (watch the earnings call).

Sora Lands on Android!

Sora is now officially available on Android across the U.S., Canada, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Korea, following its breakout iOS debut in September. The AI video app brings its full feature set to Google Play, including Cameos, which lets users generate videos of themselves using their own likeness. Its TikTok-style feed is expected to accelerate user growth as it enters the competitive short-form video arena. 🛒 Amazon Tells Perplexity’s Shopping Bot to Back Off: Amazon has issued a cease-and-desist to Perplexity, demanding the company stop letting its AI shopping assistant, Comet, operate on Amazon’s store without identifying itself as an agent. Perplexity argues its bot has the same permissions as a human user, while Amazon says third-party agents must disclose themselves just like delivery or travel apps do (see Amazon’s statement).

📡 OpenAI Locks In $38B AWS Deal: OpenAI has signed a $38 billion agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to buy cloud computing over the next seven years. It will start using AWS immediately, with full capacity expected by the end of 2026 and possible expansion beyond 2027 (see AWS’ announcement).
