AI has been quietly revolutionizing opioid addiction, prevention and treatment. For instance, the Georgia Institute of Technology uses AI to spot fentanyl misuse on Reddit. AI programs like Sobergrid detect relapse risks and link individuals to counselors. Wearable devices from Purdue University can detect overdose signs and administer naloxone, a drug that reverses opioid overdose.
ChatGPT for Classrooms?
ChatGPT is introducing a guide aimed at educators for incorporating this chatbot into classrooms. According to OpenAI, this resource will provide suggested prompts, an explanation of ChatGPT's functionality and its limitations, as well as provide insights into the effectiveness of AI detectors.
AI’s New Social Network App
BeFake, blending ideas from Gen Z app BeReal with AI tech, raised $3 million in seed funding for an AI-driven social network. It operates like front-back apps such as BeReal, where users take front and back photos, but then uses presets or custom prompts to generate AI images.
X Wants to Use Public Data to Train AI Models
X made the following Privacy Policy change to Section 2.1: ‘We may use the information we collect and publicly available information to help train our machine learning or artificial intelligence models for the purposes outlined in this policy’.
